Frontier.

FRONTIER: "an outer limit in a field of endeavor, esp. one in which the opportunities for research and development have not been exploited"

When the word is used in surfing terms people often get a warm fuzzy feeling in their head of being the first to confront their "frontier".

Its everyones dream to search and find their own frontier and surf a wave that has never been surfed but in reality with so many surfers and bodyboarders out there the chances of finding the gold at the end of the rainbow are fast drying up. Luckily bodyboarders will always have a chance, in the form of a surgy sucking warping slab of rock shelf just centimeters under the surface.
